32-year-old female who presented to clinic with chronic diarrhea since childhood
History
- Childhood – long standing abdominal pain and diarrhea and dx w IBS
- At age 10/11 yo – Parasite found in stool and treated pharmaceutically\
- 2010 – Appendectomy
- 2018 – Found hydrogen Positive SIBO and treated it herbally
- 2019 – Again, tested positive for hydrogen positive SIBO and treated it pharmaceutically
- 2020 – Tested positive for candida immune complex – treated with Nystatin and herbs
Current GI Presentation
- She complained of loose stools, bloating, burning, malodorous gas.
- Having 1–6 BSC6 BM/D for years
- Having significant bowel urgency with no accidents but many close calls
- Abdominal pain is present frequently
- No improvement with past treatments and still very symptomatic
